Located in Waikiki, the Halekulani is a fabulous place to marry. Ceremonies performed either in their garden courtyard or Hau Terrace both offer their own charm. The property offers several places to photograph on but there’s no beach and accessing it means having to take a five minute walk. Not a big deal but if you’re looking for those fabulous Hawaii Sunset images, you’ll have to leave enough time to walk out there. Their wedding packages are reasonable and usually include a suite for you to get ready in and spend the night.
This iconic luxury hotel aka The Pink Palace, is located on the beach in Waikiki. Opened in 1927 by Territorial Hotel Company in conjunction with Matson Line to bring tourists to Hawaii. It has been the backdrop to many films and television shows including “Gidget goes Hawaiian”, Charlie’s Angels and one of my favorites Mad Men. Renovated back to is heyday splendor in 2009 it’s once again a beacon of Waikiki. Offering a fabulous garden and ocean lawn, the possibilities are endless and the food is fantastic!
Nestled about 20 minutes outside Waikiki in an area called Aina HIna, this historic private residence is available to host your wedding. You can get ready, have your ceremony and host your reception. I love the old time charm and views off the backyard. Hawaii-50 also shoots here as it’s the home of McGartt’s father! Several years ago, my sister was married here so I can personally say that Sooze does an amazing job!
If you’re looking for a fabulous view of the Ko’olau Mountains, this is the place. Located on the Windward side of the island, it’s about a 30 minute drive from Waikiki and just over the Pali Highway. Perfect for outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. They’re known for their glass ballroom that offers fabulous views of the Ko’Olau’s.
One of the only places you can host your wedding on the famed North Shore of Oahu. Lucky you it has everything one could want for a wedding. Majestic views, indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception options that make this one of my top choices for all of Oahu! Take your sunset images out on the point for memorable portraits of you and your honey. Be sure to wear extra hairspray as it can be super windy out there!
Private estate located on the North Shore of Oahu. About an hour drive out of Waikiki, is appointed with fabulous grass lawn and garden. It hosts a fabulous ocean view is an amazing place for any wedding small or large, local or destination. Available for getting ready, ceremony and reception Loulu Palms is a great choice if you’re looking for a North Shore location without the hotel/resort look. The beach is just steps off the grass and offers some of the best sunsets on the North Shore.
Located in Mokuleia near Dillingham airfield where the sky diving and glider planes take off, this 2,700 acre ranch is a majestic backdrop for any wedding. Host your ceremony under the big tree in front of the lodge, cocktails in the front lawn and move under the tent in the backyard for an all inclusive place. Great for local and destination weddings.
Located in the heart of Waikiki the Hilton Hawaiian Village has a small chapel, fabulous well-kept grounds for portraiture and wonderful ballrooms to host your wedding. Head out to the beach for few sunset images just steps off the hotel grounds. Great for local as well as destination wedding.
I believe one of the most under rated venues on Oahu. You have to be Military or be sponsored to host your wedding. Located in Waikiki this a super convenient venue to host your wedding. Have your ceremony in the lush Mailie garden, walk the grounds to the banyan tree, and under the treeless for your portraits. The famed Waikiki beach is just steps away from the grounds and is easy to access if your looking for sunset images to round out your wedding day coverage. Then off to one of the ballrooms for your reception. Great for local and destination weddings.
Located on the west side of Oahu in Koolina and right next to Paradise Cove luau. Lanikuhonua is an amazing place to marry outside. It never disappoints with a fabulous Hawaiiand sunset either. It can accommodate small or large events surrounded by well maintained grounds and palm trees. Plenty of parking for local or out-of-town guests.
